THE MOST FANTASTIC MAP OF MADEIRA ISLAND & PORTO SANTO ISLAND YOU WILL EVER NEED :-)

Hi, my name is Sergio.

I am a Tourist Guide here on this wonderful Island of Madeira. I was never really happy with the maps that you can buy on the market here in Madeira. Either they were too expensive and detailed and clumsy or for free but with the tradeoff of way too much advertisement.

So during covid, I decided to make the best map for this wonderful Island in Portugal. First I thought about the size. It should not be too small nor too big and fit perfectly in my pocket. Since we carry everyday mobile phones in our pockets I decided to make the size equal to a big phone like the PRO Versions of Apple or the ULTRA Versions from Samsung. This comes down to AxA CM (axa Inches) when it's folded and AXA Cm (axa inches) when it's fully opened.

I included a Map of Madeira Island and also a map of its smaller sister island Porto Santo. I tried to be as close as possible to the topographical features but I also wanted the map to have a playful look.

On the other side, I included of course the main city Funchal, which is a pencil-drawn version from an Artist. It shows the 30 must-see things in Funchal alone. But there is also a part of an area called "Lido". There is no other map in Madiera that shows this area. There you can find the famous Promenade and it shows you how you can walk from Funchal directly to the next Town "Camera de Lobos" via the Ocean Path.

But that is not enough, so I included a "TOP 10 Things to DO List" for Madeira, and to top it all off I made a small language course where you learn how to order drinks say "Good Morning" or "The bill please"

Sure it is not as detailed as a "real" map but that was never my goal. I wanted to have a map that shows you the way, helps you around, gives you ideas and you can be used as a lovely souvenir at the end of your vacation.
